Yorkeys Knob Community Kindergarten is a non-profit, community based organisation providing early childhood education for pre-school aged children. A publicly elected committee of parents manages and is solely responsible for all aspects of the centre.
Our program is available for children in the year before they start school. It runs for 40 weeks per calendar year, (coinciding with Queensland School terms), and focuses on helping children to develop a wide range of essential skills and preparing them for their transition to school.
Yorkeys Knob Community Kindergarten provides a nurturing, engaging and stimulating environment where we assist children to develop and ensure they have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our Program features the C&K “Building Waterfalls” Educational Framework in conjunction with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) “Belonging, Being and Becoming”.
We have a specific emphasis on “Play Based Learning” whereby we recognise the importance of Communication & Language and Social & Emotional development.
